THE INVESTIGATION

It all started when I received an email from my dear friend Ceri (THANK YOU FOR THAT.) saying that Bryan and the dudes were coming to Portugal in a week to play in a Portuguese TV Show and to give a small concert in a local nightclub called "Paradise Club"! ( I was the one feeling in Paradise after this news.)! Panic!!! How can I get tickets to these 2 mega events!!! The last time that I have seen the guys was back in May´97!! Long gone. I was missing my sweetheart Keith too much by now.After I find out where the TV show was recorded, the next step was to ask for invitations!! The event was already SOLD OUT! I was beginning to be worried.I can't believe they are coming to Portugal and I can not see them anywhere!! I have, I need to see KEITH..!! After we contact (me and Carla)"Paradise Club" they confirm us that Bryan was really coming, but they didnot knew yet at that time if they were going to sell tickets or were just invitations!!! Panic again.! We had to go deeper and contacted the agencywhich was responsible for the brief Bryan promotion in Portugal.they informed us that tickets were going to be made for 900 fans only and were going to be on sale on Monday! The concert was on Tuesday!! We were nervous.I thought, "this was going to be the hardest and the longest weekend of our lives!" Right away we left our names and reserved two tickets, but only after we see them we will believe that we were two of the 900 luckyfans!!

THE TRIUMPH

Since we were both working all day Carla´s father made us the favour to pick up the tickets at the agency! Was 11am when I received the so waited call from Carla saying that "we have the tickets!!."SUPER! Now, tell me how I manage to concentrate at work during the rest of the day! Thank God my boss left so I spent the rest of the afternoon sending e-mails to all my friendstelling the BIG NEWS!After work we drove to Lisbon to pick up the tickets at Carla´s father'swork! Finally I could see and touch my ticket. It's true, I'm going to see the guys LIVE again TOMORROW.

Tuesday - 23.2.99
THE EVENT

After working ( or trying to work.) from 9am to 5.30pm, finally the hour to leave arrived! I picked up Carla at her work, we went home to change clothes and pick up our tickets and cameras! Lucky was easy to park the car near the Club, we took a look to the entrance where there were 5 or 6 fans! We decided to have something to eat and join them after that!
( But who was hungry.we were too excited!). We reached Paradise Club entrance at 8pm, the doors were suppose to open at 10pm, we had 2 hours waiting! Lucky the 6 fans that were there already were really nice and we spent the 2 hours exchanging thoughts and experience all about Bryan and the guys, and we also exchanged e-mail address! Some of the people we had already seen in previous concerts, and some we met for the first time personally. At 10pm exactly the door open after they started letting us in! The area wasreally small and we lucky managed to get the first row right in front of Keith! The stage was so near that I could almost touch his microphone.I could not believe my eyes! This was going to be my 16th concert and theclosest one that I have ever! After almost 11 year of total devotion I think we deserved this concert! Exactly at at 11.30pm Bryan, Keith and Mickey entered on stage! They were all three dressed with white jeans and white t-shirts! They looked like three angels came from the sky.I thought I died and went to heaven! The concert started right away with "Summer of ´69", the audience went wild! Keith was right in front of me, did not took long that he noticed me and said "Hi!".the way that he only can!
The songs went on without stopping, we had the chance to hear live new songs like: "When you´re Gone", "On a day like Today", "Before the night is over" and "C´mon C´mon C´mon", which in my opinion was the best one! And also some old songs like: "Heaven", "Cuts like a Knife" and an amazing unplugged version of "I'm Ready" with Keith playing better than ever an acoustic guitar! On "It's only love" crazy Keith jumped and flew over the audience right on my side, Carla even had one of his boots on her head!
Bryan laughed all the time! During all the concert, which took 1h and 20m., Keith came closer several times playing guitar, I couldtouch him and the guitars every time I wanted! At the end Keith sent me a pick.the best souvenir I could have from such an event! Each concert I have seen have it special moments but I can say without second thoughts that thiswas the best concert that I have ever been, we were like a big family, like a big party! And also the concert where I could see my dear Keith better and closer! THANKS so much Keith for all the great and unforgettable moments that you gave me tonight!

After the concert we had the chance to change some words with Keith and Mickey inside the van. I gave the postcard that I had to Keith, told himthat Ceri sent love, received two kisses and took a photo with him! The night was complete!

THE DAY AFTER
Here I'm back at work and to normal life, my head and my legs are hurting, which make me remember every second where I was last night! But how could I forgot.the only
thing that I have my mind on
now is when I'm going to see them again!!!.
